The History of Mahjong game can only be traced back to the latter part of 1890 in the area of Ning Po (China). As the game spread through China different regions adopted the game, each with its own unique set of rules. Shortly after the First World War, an America resident in Shanghai, Joseph Babcock, published the game manual together with the suggestion of the British engineer named Walker to add Arabic numbers to the tiles/mahjong to distinguish each tile and make the game easier to play.

This blog will allows you to learn how to play the game of Mahjong through new media pedagogy.
The Lesson plan is as follows:
1. Watch the video and read the articles.
2. Participate online discussion (C-box) with your fellow students once every two days from 1300H to 1500H.
3. Your participation and contributions will be assessed and you are required to share your feedbacks on the following questions:
a. Do you understand how to Mahjong game after going through the blog?
b. Share your views on this new media
pedagogy for learning how to play
Mahjong.
4. Submit a two pages reflection at the end of the week to your facilitator.
5. Enjoy the game and have fun going through the blog.
